Yunus Musah and Nico González shortlisted amongst 40 nominees for 2022 Golden Boy Award

The Valencia CF midfield duo Yunus Musah and Nico González are two of the nominees for the 2022 Golden Boy, a prestigious award given by Italian magazine Tuttosport which selects the best under-21 footballer on the planet every year. 

The US international remains in contention for the award after the list was narrowed down from 60 names to 40.

Yunus Musah is one of the standout players for the US national team despite his youth being a permanent fixture in Gennaro Gattuso's setup in this season's Valencia CF side.

 Also among the reduced list of 40 candidates chosen by the Italian publication is Nico González, who this season has joined Valencia CF on loan as he has been steadily settling into the team as matchdays go by.
